Here at Westray Adventures we offer horse trekking and quad bike tours on our farm near Te Anau, which boasts beautiful 360 degree scenery. We breed and train our own horses for trekking right here on the farm, where they are allowed to roam free on the hills overlooking the lake and mountains. We use natural horsemanship methods in our training, so you know that we care about our horses as much as you do. Each of our horses is friendly and gentle, and they all have their own individual characters. On our treks we ride over farmland, taking in the spectacular views and greeting free ranging horses and other farm animals. The treks can last up to 2.5 hours, although shorter rides are available by negotiation. We can cater for individuals or groups of up to 10 people with horses to suit all levels of riders confidence. Beginners and people with no previous experience are welcome; our horses are calm and will look after you and we will provide you with full training. For the more experience riders we have horses with a bit more spirit so you can have fun too. We also offer quad bike tours, which are truly a memorable and an unforgettable kiwi experience. Ride with experienced guides over our working sheep and cattle farm, taking in the breathtaking Fiordland scenery. Our Honda Quad Bikes are fun and easy to ride. Whether you are a complete beginner or experienced rider we can tailor the trip to suit your abilities. Please Note: Quad bike riders must be over 16 years of age.
